Risk monitor

List what you hold and the monitor shows where the risk sits: how much depends on a single position, how much is in another currency, how risky the mix is by the risk indicators of its parts, and how your list compares with the diversification rules that EU funds must follow. Nothing leaves your browser, and nothing here tells you what to buy or sell.

Your holdings

The list is kept only on this page while it is open. Nothing is sent to us.

What the list shows

  • Total value–
  • Number of holdings–
  • Largest position–
  • Three largest positions–

The yardsticks used here

The UCITS 5/10/40 rule. A UCITS fund may invest at most 10% of its assets in securities of one issuer, and all holdings above 5% may not add up to more than 40% (Directive 2009/65/EC, Article 52). The monitor applies the same two tests to the single shares, bonds and structured products in your list; funds themselves are already diversified, so they are not counted as a single issuer.

The risk indicator. Every KID shows a summary risk indicator from 1 to 7. The value-weighted average of your holdings' indicators is a rough measure of the mix, not a risk indicator of your portfolio: holdings that move together add up, holdings that move differently partly offset each other, and the indicator cannot see that.

Currency. Anything held in another currency changes in value with the exchange rate on top of its own price. Funds that hedge their currency exposure say so in their name or their KID.

What you do with the result is your decision; the figures are there to help you ask the right questions, of yourself or of an adviser. The KID reader explains the risk indicator; the cost calculator the costs of each fund.
